Third Saturday in May

On May 17th, we gathered across the street from the church to get ready for our Warner Springs ride. It was a perfect day for a ride-warm and sunny!

Here we are doing the usual pre-ride warm up: standing around.

Frank rolls in. Mason and Maria parked by Oscars' Big Dog-we missed Sonia! Every month we play "Guess what Mike S. will be riding?" This month it was a Road King. Franks' Harley and Jims' Yamaha ready to go.... Dave, Wayne and Mike S. ready to go...... hey, where is everyone? Oh, fooling around taking pictures. Pre-ride was short and sweet.....Mike went over the usual, but important stuff. We all took our last opportunity for shade, it was heating up already!

We are outa here! A couple of shots as we went out Highway 76 toward Palomar Mountain. It was early enough that the rice rockets weren't up yet and we had the road to ourselves.
Here's where we took a short break, Lake Henshaw. The traffic was light, the weather was great and we enjoyed the scenery while we stretched.

Back on the road again. Notice the picture below. If you look carefully to the left of the road, you'll see a plane towing a glider. If you look to the right, you'll see someone who thinks his bike is is fast as a plane.
It got a little warm heading out of Warner Springs into Temecula so we were happy to stop at Richie's Diner to cool off with some fried food and milkshakes. Jim and Linda look pretty cool, they must have air conditioned helmets.

We had a great, safe ride and missed everyone who couldn't make it-mark your calendars for June 21, we are planning an awesome ride that ends with.......GRILLING!

Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down and above all, keep your eyes on Jesus!
