North to Alaska.................
Actually, it was North to Bass Pro Shop. But it sure felt like we were in Alaska! Hey riders, it's Guido the dumb biker dude! Well, last Saturday, Pastor Dave, Big Frank and Guido the dumb biker dude, took off for our pre-ride to Bass Pro Shop. The weather was beautiful, but cold. Thankfully, we all had a great time of riding and fellowship. As experienced riders, we were well prepared for the cold. Speaking of cold, have you noticed that we have had an extremely cold winter so far? I will be re-posting an article I did on cold weather gear awhile back. It is important if you ride during the winter months, to be properly clothed, especially your hands and face. For most people this means a full face helmet, and cold weather gloves. There is a lot of gear on the market right now that is lightweight, yet extremely warm. You want to still be able to "feel" the bike and yet not end up with your hands frozen to the handlebars! Fortunately, when we do our group ride this Saturday, January 19th, the weather for our Bass Pro Shop destination will be in the mid to high 70's. But it will probably be a little on the cold side in the morning, so if you plan to ride with us, remember to "layer" for the ride. God bless, and we'll see you on Saturday!
