Hey riders, it's Pastor Dave with our ride and event schedule for the month of August. We have two events planned for this month. See the information listed below for additional details.
Sunday, August 10th, 2014 - DAVE SANDSTOES "RIDE FOR PIE"
Meet at 956 Vale Terrace at 2:00 pm. We will have a short ride briefing at 2:15 pm, followed by "kick stands up" and on the road by 2:30 pm. We have a road guard (Dave "I like pie" Sandstoe) who loves pie, so this month we will taking Hwy. 76 to Santa Isabel and stop for pie at the Julian Pie Company. This ride is suitable for all ride levels. Come gassed up and ready to ride!
Saturday, August 23, 2014 - CALVARY CHAPEL VISTA MOTORCYCLE FELLOWSHIP ANNUAL "BIG BEAR RIDE"
We will be having our annual Big Bear Ride! Our hosts, Pastor Sam and his wife Debbie have once again graciously opened their home in Big Bear to the motorcycle fellowship. This is our most popular and well attended event of the year! for those of you who have never attended this ride, you will be truly blessed!
Lunch will be a steal at only $5.00! This year we are once again offering a special tee shirt for this event exclusively to all participants of this ride. This years color will be "red" and feature the Big Bear logo on the front and our own CCVMF logo on the back. For $20 you will receive a shirt and lunch.
Our Road Guards will have a sign up table at Calvary Vista this Sunday, August 3rd and again on August 10th, after both services. We need to have you sign up, so we know how many tee shirts to order and how much food to buy. Look for the CCVMF banner over our easy up, which will be manned by our biker dudes. PLEASE NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT WE HEAR FROM YOU! If you do not attend Calvary Vista and would like to participate and order a shirt, you must contact me by August 10 with your shirt info as we have to give our tee shirt vendor sufficient time to complete our order.
On ride day, please meet at 956 Vale Terrace staging at 7:30 am. Our ride briefing will be at 7:45 and will be on the road by 8:00 am promptly! Due to the length of the ride and time spent on mountain roads, this ride requires a higher level of riding experience. We will also be riding at a higher altitude, so if you have a problem with altitude sickness, please keep this in mind. We expect everyone to be their own "safety officer" and be properly prepared for the ride. We will send out a ride reminder prior to the actual ride and keep you up to date on the expected weather and or any other pertinent changes. Come join us for a great time of food, fellowship and fun! Once again, come gassed up and ready to ride!
God bless!
Pastor Dave
