Since this was a brown bag ride, some of our group had packed their lunch in, while part of the group lined up alongside the barbecue pit to have our appetites tempted by ribs, tri tip and other grilled delights. After lunch we wandered the grounds trying to walk off our meal before we hit the road. Traffic was a bit better on the way out, and our ride home was an easy cruise. It was a great day of fellowship with Pastor Sam and Debbie Cracchiolo joining us on their first long ride with the group as well as Tim and Becky Hoden. It's been exciting to see the group growing and new friendships being formed.
We missed several leadership guys, some to work, some to family things. We were blessed on our lunch break to get good news via text from Monika, Ed Haunold's sister. On Saturday morning Ed began to respond to commands, was doing well with his breathing exercises, and was making improvements by the minute. By Sunday morning his breathing tube was removed and recognizing family members. He has a long way to go and visitors have been restricted to family at this time as he is still weak and has pneumonia. Thank you for all your prayers, please continue to pray and share the information about the Go Fund Me account set up by the family to help with the many expenses that come with this type of medical care.
The guys are busy planning next months rides, so keep an eye on your email, we hope we see you next month!
