I heard from a few of you that you had some trouble leaving comments on the posts. Well, one of you only had trouble because you went WAY over your allowed word usage. Here's a hint-it wasn't a woman. Okay, it was Mike.Anyway, here's a short primer for those of you new to the whole blogging thing. When you click on "comments" at the end of a post, it takes you to the comment page. So far, so good. On the right hand side is a box in which you may type your comment, and as Mike found out, it can only be around 300 words. I know, what could you possibly say that is more than 300 words?
Just below the comment box you'll notice it says:
"Comment moderation has been enabled. All comments must be approved by the blog author."
That means that before a comment appears on the blog, it is first screened by the blog author. That's to keep anyone from crashing the blog and posting things Christian bikers wouldn't say or want to read.
After the word verification box (which you must do) you'll be asked to choose an identity. It defaults to Google blogger, so if you don't have a Google account you need to change the selection to either:Open I.D- this is if you have a blog account from another provider like word press.
Name/URL- select this and enter your name,if you have your own website you can enter the URL and your name will highlight. People can click your name and visit your site.
Anonymous-if you don't want a blogger account you can use this. WORD OF WARNING- if you use anonymous and don't identify yourself by name in the body of the comment, we won't post your comment. Again, this is a clean site and we mean to keep it that way.
If you follow those steps and click "publish your comment", it goes to the moderator and gets posted. Don't write anything you don't want everyone on the world wide web to see, no one is truly anonymous out here. If you have any questions or problems email Dave and we'll help you out!
