Saturday, February 28, 2015 - Ride to Borrego Springs
This month, we will be heading to Borrego Springs. This ride is medium distance and will take us through mountain and desert terrain. We are planning to change up our route a little, so we hope you'll come out and join us! Once we arrive in Borrego Springs, we'll stop at Paublito's Mexican Restaurant for some great Mexican food. There will even be some time to walk around some of the local shops, in case you feel the urge to do some shopping!
Temperatures will vary throughout the ride, so be prepared for warm and cold weather. Layering is recommended.
On ride day, please meet at our Vale Terrace staging location, located at 956 Vale Terrace, in Vista. We will meet at 8:00 am, have a pre-ride briefing at 8:15 am and be on the road PROMPTLY by 8:30 am. Come gassed up and ready to ride. Please note that per our riding and safety policies, if you have "bald" tires and are not properly dressed for the ride i.e. (No shorts, tennis shoes, DOT approved helmet), then you will not be allowed to participate. Due to liability concerns, these rules are NON-NEGOTIABLE and will be strictly enforced by our road guards.
Should our ride have to be cancelled due to weather, we will be meeting at the Rainbow Oaks Restaurant, located off the Old 395 in Rainbow at 9:00 am for breakfast and fellowship. All are welcome to join us! See you there on ride day!
